Rick McKee is owner and operator of Advanta Home Care, a La Mesa, California based company that provides outstanding care and 
companionship to senior citizens throughout the San Diego County area. Rick’s primary goal is to help seniors remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. This goal is accomplished by providing independent assisted living at home through a team of dedicated, compassionate and professional caregivers. Just as important, he has seen how family time changes from being a hectic and stressful chore and errand time to a more relaxed quality time when a loved one’s everyday needs are being taken care of by his team of companion aids. Rick has over 20 years of experience in the Finance/Investment field as a fixed income trader, advisor and analyst and earned the industry’s prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Rick lives at Lake Murray in La Mesa, California. He started Advanta Home Care because he believes that seniors live longer and happier lives when surrounded by their memories, friends, loved ones, pets and accumulated possessions….when they can remain independent in their own homes. Like his team of companion aids, he felt compelled to do something to help others; something that might make a difference. Rick says “It’s by far the best decision I’ve ever made…helping not only our clients, but their loved ones as well, is the most rewarding experience of my life, bar none. I cannot put the feeling into words. The gift of being able to be involved in something that brings out such compassion, gratitude and love in people is immeasurable and the best part is that we all really enjoy what we do!
I wake up every day knowing our mission is to make a real difference out there by helping each client to remain independent in their home with grace, dignity and respect. My personal mission is to develop and maintain a team that shares this philosophy and vision. I’m not aware of any of our competitors offering the initial and ongoing training and certifications that we do. That is the major reason we are the best non-medical in home care provider in our area. We treat our caregivers the way we want them to treat our clients-like family, and it works beautifully.
