We believe our San Diego Home Care represents the best in its class. Our caregivers are screened, trained, bonded and insured. They are our employees so we take care of all the scheduling, payroll and taxes. We have the general liability and workers compensation insurances. We conduct thorough screening and multi- state criminal background checks so you can feel comfortable, confident and secure about welcoming our caregivers into your home. Our caregivers are employees of Advanta Home Care. They are not independent contractors. Some agencies are able to charge lower rates because their caregivers are independent contractors, which may present considerable liability and financial risk to the client and family.
Our caregivers are certified in elder care, to provide the best in-home care possible for seniors in San Diego County. We are extremely excited about our certification, the Certified Companion Aide (CCA). Our caregivers study 19 core subjects relating to senior home care and pass a battery of tests to acquire the coveted designation. This caregiver certification is sponsored by The Senior’s Choice, the nation’s premiere in-home elderly care membership organization. The goal is simple – we want to ensure the best home care possible for you and your loved ones.
Advanta Home Care understands how critical it is to match the right caregiver to the needs and personality of each of our clients. We accomplish this through a comprehensive personal needs evaluation involving our client, their family and also the physician, hospital or rehabilitation personnel, if necessary. This personal assessment is free and usually occurs at the location where care will be provided. This allows us to customize a care plan and select the most suitable caregiver to carry out the plan. A positive and harmonious relationship between our care providers and our clients is the major cornerstone of our services.
Excellent communication between all parties is a key ingredient of in-home care. We keep our Care Plan and Documentation Log in the home so family members, caregivers, healthcare providers and our office stay in constant communication regarding the welfare of you or your loved one. Our telephones are on 24/7.
We understand that our dependability and punctuality are very important to you. Our professional caregivers call in upon arrival to, and departure from your home. If we don’t receive a call at their scheduled arrival time, we are alerted to take necessary corrective action. This communication provides assurance to you that your loved one is being cared for, as you have planned.
To further meet the needs of our community, Advanta Home Care offers a Welcome Home program. This special program is designed to take the worry out of who will help you or your loved one make the transition back home after time spent in a hospital, rehab or other medical facility. Our caregiver will pick you up, stop at the pharmacy, prepare a light meal, tidy up or help with other needed tasks for a 6-hour period.
